The three-day China International Trade Fair for Apparel Fabrics and Accessories (Autumn/Winter) came to a successful close at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).

ZAKER made a strong appearance at the exhibition with a selection of innovative green materials and its new plant-based brand, FLORAVARA™, engaging with global customers and industry professionals to explore new opportunities in sustainable materials.

Plant-Based Leather

As one of the earliest companies in China to engage in the research and development of water-based and bio-based artificial leather, ZAKER has been committed to supporting the industry's transition toward more sustainable materials. At this exhibition, the company officially presented its new plant-based brand, FLORAVARA™.

FLORAVARA™ is ZAKER's plant-based water-based PU leather series. It is produced using ecowel® bio-based polyurethane raw materials and manufactured through the AQUAE® water-based process.

The products use non-food-based raw materials and are DMFa-free and PFAS-free, while combining a high bio-based content with flexibility. They are also designed to support industrial-scale production.

Plant-Sourced Carbon Technology with the Performance of Polyurethane

Leveraging plant-sourced carbon technology while retaining the performance characteristics of polyurethane, FLORAVARA™ offers flexible material solutions for different product development needs.

The series supports customized grain patterns and colors, while full-chain material traceability provides greater visibility into the material supply process. With a designer-friendly approach and compatibility with diverse development requirements, FLORAVARA™ provides one-stop synthetic leather material solutions for multiple application scenarios, addressing both performance and sustainability considerations in today's market.

ISCC PLUS Certification Strengthens Material Traceability

Another important milestone for ZAKER was obtaining ISCC PLUS certification in May this year. ZAKER has become one of the early companies in China's plant-based leather sector to obtain this certification, and the full range of FLORAVARA™ products is included within the relevant traceability certification system.

Connecting with Global Customers at Intertextile

Throughout the exhibition, ZAKER's booth welcomed a steady flow of visitors. Our business team engaged with customers, brands, overseas buyers, and industry professionals, discussing material development requirements and potential applications.

The exhibition generated valuable market feedback and provided opportunities for preliminary cooperation with several brands and overseas buyers. These conversations also gave the ZAKER team a clearer understanding of the material expectations and development priorities of customers in different markets.
